How to Change an Address on a Permit

Begin by selecting the permit that you need to change the address on. Then click on Address in the navigation pane. You will see the current address on the permit marked as Primary-Yes. Before we can change this to Primary-No, we will need to add another address to the permit.

To do this, click on Look Up. Input the correct address and click Submit. When your address result comes up, check mark the box next to it and click Select. This will bring a pop up in which you can select to add the Parcel and Owner as well, just like on the SPEAR form.

You will now see two addresses on the permit. Now you will need to click on the underlined/hyperlinked street number of the incorrect address. In the Address Detail field you will want to change the Primary-Yes field to No in the dropdown. Click Save.

The next step is to check mark the box next to the incorrect address and click Delete. You will get a pop-up in which you can remove the incorrect Address, Parcel, and Owner, just like on the SPEAR form. Once you remove that data, the address change is almost complete.

The final step is to regenerate the permit with correct address. Once you do this, you have the option of deleting the older permit with the incorrect address to avoid confusion. However, you can leave it if you want a record of the steps that the permit went through.

Note: Use the Look Up function instead of New. The Look Up function will pull from the reference data.
